We took a slight detour off of highway 395 to visit the ghost town of Bodie. After driving down about 13 miles of dirt road we reached the abandoned town that is now minimally maintained by some sort of state parks organization. From what I gather, the town experienced a couple of fires, and circa 1942 was abandoned after the gold mines were forced to shut down and all resources and workers were redirected to support the war. The image of the truck has some sort of exposure issue either caused in processing or by the Hasselblad. It is also a little off compositionally because I was standing on my tip toes on a small rock trying to create separation from the truck and the buildings in the background. I like the image anyways.
